Welcome to the Nebraska Environmental Trust, a state program dedicated to the preservation of Nebraska's natural resources. The Nebraska Environmental Trust provides the seed money needed to preserve critical habitat areas, protect water supplies and establish recycling programs in Nebraska through a unique combination of lottery proceeds and private donations.

Here's what's new at the Trust:

Summer arrived June 21st, and the heat and humidity came with it. Nebraska has also experienced widespread hail and several tornadoes. The crops were waiting for a boost of sunshine after getting some much needed moisture and cooler temperatures.

The Trust will be holding a round-table at the Holiday Inn Conference Center in Kearney on Friday, June 26th to discuss our funding categories.  We want to get the public’s input for our next five years.

Those of you with current grants don’t forget your quarterly reports and requests for extensions if you aren’t able to get your grant completed before their expiration.

Have a safe and enjoyable summer.

Executive Director
