Message from Executive Director
After a short absence, the Nebraska Environmental Trust Newsletter is back. We have found the easiest way to keep in touch with our grantees and colleagues via e-mail. Sheila Johnson is our Public Information Officer and our newsletter is one of her many duties. Sheila joined the staff this spring and she will work hard to keep everyone informed of the Trust's activities. The Nebraska Environmental Trust has provided in excess of $112million over the past 14 years for 952 projects and we have no plans to slow down. We hope that many of you and your communities will be applying for grants in the future. The deadline for the next Nebraska Environmental Trust grant is September 4, 2007. Details about the grant process can be found on our website at www.environmentaltrust.org Third Quarter Trust Board Meeting The third quarter Trust Board Meeting will be held July 19-20 at the North Platte NRD office (100547 Airport Road) in Scottsbluff. The board will tour area projects the morning of the 19th and hold a strategic planning session in the afternoon beginning 1.30pm (MDT). The business meeting will be held at 8.30am (MDT) on July 20th. The 3rd Quarter Public Information & Education (PIE) will be awarded at this meeting. A tentative agenda may be requested from the Trust office by calling (402) 471-5409 or e-mail your request to info@net.ne.gov Revised Grant Application FormsThe grant application forms for the 2008 cycle are now available.
